“TO GOD BE THE GLORY” for using Rev. Washington as he does!
My Story
Rev. Sylvia Washington finds comfort, joy, peace, and strength in these guiding words “The Lord Is My Shepherd, I Shall Not Want”…. Psalms23:1 A native of Monticello, Fla., Rev. Washington is a graduate of Florida A & M University (FAMU) in Tallahassee, Fla. where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She was married to Mr. Waheed Olatundun, and is the mother of three lovely daughters, Kemi, Ayoka, and Shirley. Rev. Washington has one son, Rodney Hannah, husband of Ayoka and is the proud grandmother of twins, Rodney II, and Reagan Hannah. “An Angel of Mercy” best describes Sylvia’s demeanor as a professional Registered Nurse (RN) for thirty years, compassionately serving and administering care in the professions of Nursing, Nursing Administration and Consulting . She is presently employed at Christian City in Union City, Ga. where she is Director of the Assisted Living Facility. Rev. Washington delivered her first official sermon at Bethlehem Baptist Church on April 25, 1999 and was ordained by Pastor Moncrieff on December 10, 2000; she currently serves as the interim Youth Minister. Rev. Washington has been very busy since her ordination, ministering at weddings, funerals, teaching bible classes, and PRAISING and PREACHING God’s Holy Word. “TO GOD BE THE GLORY” for using Rev. Washington as he does!
